What it does

Always listening, never in the way. It sits in your menubar. Talk, and the words appear with a timestamp. Nothing is rewritten after it lands.
One timeline of everything you said. Scroll back through the day, search any word, click a time to copy a paragraph, start a new session when you want a clean page.
Edit like a document. Select across paragraphs, fix a word, see exactly what you changed.
⌃⌥Space from anywhere. Show or hide the window without touching the mouse.

Speech is transcribed on the Neural Engine of your Mac. Audio and text never leave your computer.
No account. No server. No analytics. The transcript is a plain SQLite file in your Library folder.
Light on the battery: about half a percent of one core while listening, a few percent while you talk.

Unzip, move DoneType.app to Applications, open it. It is signed and notarized.
Allow the microphone when asked. The first launch downloads and prepares the speech model; the status bar says when it is ready.
Early access: it has been used daily on one machine so far. If something breaks, we want to hear about it.
